Our religion is a joke?
Yes, our religion is a joke. Now when I say our, I mean all religions that are prevailing in on our mother earth.
I get inspiration to write this article after an intensive brush-up of words, comments and technicalities with someone who was trying to promote Christianity by defaming and degrading other religions. At the end the person ended up removing my comments from his blog (though I still have his on mine) but here we go.
World Religions
At certain time, people feel that I am too pro-Hinduism, but the fact is I am anti-all-religions. I do believe in God and I do believe in Avatars / Prophets / Massiahas / Gurus / Fakirs / Saints / Holy Spirits but I know all of them as Buddha (by Buddha I mean “the awakened one”).
People of religions Hindus, Muslims and Christians, etc try and come up with hundreds of reasons to convince themselves and others around them that the religion that they follow is the best one and all others are simply full of rubbish.
Bhagwan Krishna, Jesus, Mohammed, Baba Nanak Dev Ji Maharaj, and many others knew what is the eternal truth, they knew the concept of God and that is why I know them as awakened ones, Buddha. I believe people should learn from their lives / work / preachings instead of following a “rule book” like Holy Bible or Manu Samnhita or anything similar (I have another name but I dont want to be killed in a bomb-blast).
A person went to a Rabbi (Jewish Religious person) and asked what was in Tanakh (Hebrew Bible) and the Rabbi replied “Treat your neigbour as you would want them to treat you, and rest is all commentary”.
People feel that being a staunch follower of one sect will lead them to Heavens, and if they dont go by the defined rule book of that particular religion, then they might end up in hell, but what they forget is that before their Prophet / Avatar / etc was born there used to be this wonderful human race and there it is thousands of years after their death. People used to live and they used to live a happier life. This packaged religion business has just made people in to some kind of sheep that has to follow some shephard and if you see in India today (well there are many in US, UK and other parts of the world) there are many Shephards (Sadhus, Preists, etc), who claim to change their lives in to better and lead them to Heavens.
Like Osho says that the real enemy of Jesus is Catholic Christianity, and I truly support that notion of his. I feel that Catholic Church has never been able to understand how great Jesus was. Just wrapped the guy as Son of God, born of a virgin (the Old Testament says Jesus was born of an Almah – which means a young girl not a virgin) and the Bible was written by Holy Spirits and now everyone has to follow it. If that was the case there are 1000+ inconsistencies that I can point out in the Bible – that any rational person would just say that its all work of some human with a pen and a paper and wanting to write.
Similarly, Lord Krishna is only identified with magic and superpowers. Somehow Hindus do not get the concept of Manavatar (God in Human Form). Krishna was a Manav and one of the highest standard, he was the awakened one and knew the eternal truth. Do read Srimad Bhagavatam (the original texts) and you will know that the Soldiers conspired against Kans Mama to let Maharaj Krishna go. Read Bhagvat Geeta and you will know what Krishna thought of. The whole “Geeta Saar” is to tell you, me and especially that Arjun to do our duties. 80% of Indians are corrupt and do not perform their duties well, be it Sadhus (Brahman), Army Officers (Kshatriya – with all this Land Scam), Businessmen (Vyasyas) and Workers / Employees (Sudras).
Same is the case of Mohammed (PBUH), how can some believe that a Prophet of such stature, such a great man, sent by God – would prefer in having uniforms (or dress codes) for Men and Women. Reading the Prophet’s life will give many Hindus and Christians a view on what he thought and all that he thought was peace. First disciple of Mohammed (PBUH) was his business-associate and was so impressed by Mohammed’s honesty that he believed that he had revelations and became his disciple. Mohammed (PBUH) preached people to do their duty efficiently and honestly and that is why his followers were most honest businessmen on the planet (when he was alive).
So coming on to the offensive point, Yes I do believe in all Prophets / Avatars / Gurus and see

them as Buddha but NO, I will never believe Jesus was born of a Virgin, No I wont believe in all the magic surrounding Lord Krishna, No I wont believe Mohammed was pro-violence or was able to split the moon in two (date it back – it was a simple Lunar Eclipse), No I do not take Shirdi Sai Baba as magician (I though believe he was a true FAKIR and a Saint).
But Yes, I do believe in Human Race and the variety of our cultures. It is more beautiful then any religion has ever tried to describe it – and I am sure all the Prophets / Avatars / etc will be admiring it too.
And last, I am not a staunch believe of any religion for one more reason and that is, when I die I dont want to be surprised.
So, Religions make God look mean (yeah all of them say that if we dont follow their path God wont accept us in Heaven – what Bull Shi*t?), and I love + admire God and all his Prophets / Avatars / etc so much that I cannot follow any religion. Following a religion is like insulting God, and a spit on God’s creativity.
So if you think alike say “AYE” and if you still believe there was Adam and Eve (and the whole Evolution theory is a junk) – then say “NAY”.

Start a religion and I might join. On a serious note why do you feel you are not doing a sin by writing all this? I mean freedom of speech is barred in most religions. You know you are going to HELL.
What is true? Me, World or God?
World including sun, stars and galaxies are all matter and non-living. None of them can move at its will. They have to follow universal laws. They are all made of molecules, atoms, quarks, photons, super strings and what not?
They are all life less.
God? Where is God? Show me the God.
I am true. I am full of life.
Though…
I do not see me. What is myself? Where is me? How is me? I do not know how to move within my body. I do not know where is my heart, lever and lungs. I cannot shake hand with them. I cannot call for a general body meeting with my Red Blood Cells and White Blood Cell as to how to take more care in which part. It is dark where I am if I am within my body.
I and people like me come and go. Their uniqueness gets vanished once the cycle of air, water and food stops.
The Earth continues its cycle of water, air and magnetism, the Sun continues to maintain its uniqueness with continuing its process of magnetic cycles, and nuclear fission, and so on for Galaxies and the Cosmos remains.
Off course Vedas say the Cosmos is the living organism. It is Vishva-Devaha (called in plural as Rudraha). In Rudra Yag the Rudra is chanted in its Vishva-Murti-Form.
Vedas are the authentic for Hindu Religion.
I started going to ISKON temple in the UK and believe Krishna was the best Prophet ever, but do not see why that would make me condemn any other’s religion. I was born Christian and I am still a Christian believing in Krishna. I believe in Jesus but not Bible.

Truthful to heart and mind. Yes, religion used to be a tool for a human to excel in every sphere of life. It lost its real meaning and here we are with all those fabricated meanings. The true religion is to believe in Self which is a part of the universal Self which no human can understand. The Self can only be realized in meditation and devotion to self which can begin with the help of a form that one likes representing universal Self!
You’re very true. People now a days feel that meditation and devotion is something to do with rule book. That is why 2 years back there was a Fatwah against using YOGA to to Muslims. Why cant we just adapt to the best and understand Devotion is the way to God or Eternal Salvation?
Why people accepts………..Jainism, Budhism, Hinduism, Moslimism, and many more “isms” can you please highlight on this…..

As far as people and religion (including Hinduism, Jainism, Buddhism, Christianity, Islam) is concerned there are 3 reasons that I can see people following a religion.
1) Tradition / Society
2) Fear / Lack of Self Confidence
3) Selfishness
1) Man is a social animal and needs support of whole society, that is why when many African Americans are discriminated they convert to Islam (read Malcom X). And Dalits convert to Buddhism may be for same reason. They are all looking for inclusion and social satisfaction.
2) Fear, like you many people feel that unless they follow something specific they wont get to heavens. See Jerry Smith’s Youtube post, its very ironic but very true. People also have lack of Self Confidence. I studied in a Catholic School, and one my teachers converted to become Jain from Christianity and his reason was that it helps him leave Alcohol. A friend of mine is a Muslim and prays to a Hindu God because of some astrologer. So in general, people are scared – whatever makes their life easy they stick to it. These are normal people, they do not care about truth.
3) Selfishness. People also adapt to a religion because of Selfish needs and wants. Also there are some small amount of people who do it out of curiosity and do something new. You may see many Western Europeans convert to Hinduism for the same reason and when they do meditation and yoga they feel they are achieving eternal salvation and their soul is being satisfied.
I personally do not believe that Earth, Sun and Moon was made by God 10,000 years back within 6 or 7 days. I personally do not believe that Adam and Eve rolled on to earth and all species of animals were made directly by God.

Problems with Fundamentalist Christians are
10 – You vigorously deny the existence of thousands of gods claimed by other religions, but feel outraged when someone denies the existence of yours.
9 – You feel insulted and “dehumanized” when scientists say that people evolved from other life forms, but you have no problem with the Biblical claim that we were created from dirt.
8 – You laugh at polytheists, but you have no problem believing in a Triune God.
7 – Your face turns purple when you hear of the “atrocities” attributed to Allah, but you don’t even flinch when hearing about how God/Jehovah slaughtered all the babies of Egypt in “Exodus” and ordered the elimination of entire ethnic groups in “Joshua” including women, children, and trees!
6 – You laugh at Hindu beliefs that deify humans, and Greek claims about gods sleeping with women, but you have no problem believing that the Holy Spirit impregnated Mary, who then gave birth to a man-god who got killed, came back to life and then ascended into the sky.
5 – You are willing to spend your life looking for little loopholes in the scientifically established age of Earth (few billion years), but you find nothing wrong with believing dates recorded by Bronze Age tribesmen sitting in their tents and guessing that Earth is a few generations old.
4 – You believe that the entire population of this planet with the exception of those who share your beliefs — though excluding those in all rival sects – will spend Eternity in an infinite Hell of Suffering. And yet consider your religion the most “tolerant” and “loving.”
3 – While modern science, history, geology, biology, and physics have failed to convince you otherwise, some idiot rolling around on the floor speaking in “tongues” may be all the evidence you need to “prove” Christianity.
2 – You define 0.01% as a “high success rate” when it comes to answered prayers. You consider that to be evidence that prayer works. And you think that the remaining 99.99% FAILURE was simply the will of God.
1 – You actually know a lot less than many atheists and agnostics do about the Bible, Christianity, and church history – but still call yourself a Christian.
There is only Evil, Murder, Human Sacrifice, Rape, Slavery in Bible so I believe in Jesus but not Bible.

Without Prejudice, please accept this as a point of discussion. But I cannot see Bible as Word of God. God has to be better than this. Rajesh, by deleting my comments and then openly blaming God (Krishna) of other faith (Hinduism) on your blog, you have proved that you are fundamentalist and not a secularist. You have shown how low you can get by simply putting your belief on others – even you might have forced this on to your children. Open your eyes and read them throughout (not just the parts you like). Believe in Jesus not this Bible.
Every man on earth needs a leader to take them to the right path, weather its Business or Personal Life. But believing the Leader as God is unacceptable.
Open your eyes, take the best from all. One book cannot be right all the time. Start reading newspapers – they are more current then any book published thousands of years back.
I know where you are taking this, my holy friend, countries and religions are different. Leaders of no country try and say they are sons / daughters of God, or all the myth that rolls around with it. The rules are always improved, and if you see Western Europe does not support Death Sentences any more. So they improve with reasonable people and they are based so-much on science. Bible was simply written by someone 2000 years back, who wanted to ride along on Jesus’ fame.

Instead of asking me questions, give me answers on the barbaric laws of bible, or any other similar texts, and i will be happy to approve them. I have already quoted you how evil the authors of Bible were above. Can you come up with similar? or show me what went wrong there…? or tell me why should I still believe it to be word of God?
I a-religious, so you tell me why should I believe in something that you are. Also, I see that you keep on pointing at Krishna, so shall I believe that your faith is based on how bad are other religions and not how good Catholic Church is?

Old testaments is as old as 8 to 7 thousand years, whereas new testament’s time period is 2000 years. and all these books in all 66 books have been clustered in one compendium called “BIBLE”. You know all these in depth but you all are trying to shake my faith, but it can never be true….1. Angry Jealous God – Yes very much HE is jealous, because you too are jealous, your group, country and all are jealous. 1. God is Jealous because I am jealous? So you believe the Buddhist perception of God that He resides within yourself (I see that you dont believe in Bible now). If he doesnt want anyone to go to hell – what is he a communist? and if he is – then he should stop it. If he cant then you are following Taoism – which says man is here to play their role only decided by the God – and there is no heaven or hell (Again, I feel so sorry that you are so confused).
Prove to me SCIENTIFICALLY that the God of Bible is the real Father. If you cant – then – stop claiming that – coz its impossible to convince any rational person that those pages were written by God or Holy Spirits or whoever. By repeating on your comments that it was written by God or Holy Spirit doesnt make it true, the fact is you are believing what others has told you – you never asked for evidence if that was true or not – coz you might have been very weak when you adopted that faith.

I have a blog on Christian faith and I will stop it till I find out the real truth as you are saying from immediate moment. I will not read the Bible till I am sure of its truth.
If I find the that it is the real truth than I will come and give you reason. If not than I will renounce my faith. Because if I cannot convince myself then I am better being without Bible.

Any religion on this earth is not a joke…..Those who say “It is a joke” then they should try to start their journey of spiritualism again. I think for them it is high time for introspection.
God is above and beyond all religions.
Science is not against God. The more one learns science, the more he/she would beleive in God. But in evaluating Bible, let us just use our common sense.
Faith in a book is not necessarily faith in God. What one has is faith in somebody who told him/her that it is the ‘word of God’.
Doesn’t God have the ability to reach each and every individual directly? Then why does anyone have to go through Jesus (or for that matter, Krishna, Ram, Shankar, Mohamad, Buddha etc)? Why can’t one just listen to the voice of one’s conscience?
As regards Bible, doesn’t the fourth (or is it the fifth?) commandment say “Thou shall not kill” without any ifs, buts or other exceptions? Why then Joshua killed entire populations of Jericho and about 30 other cities? Why did Samuel ask Saul to “Now go and smite Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have , and spare them not;but slay both men and women, infant and suckling, ox and sheep, camel and ass” (1 Samuel 15:3)? The ‘Holy’ bible is full of atrocities committed by such heroes as Simeon, Levi, Joshua, Saul and many others as if they did something praiseworthy. Why?
Some of the commandments do not make sense. Why just love thy neighbour and not others? Why not covet thy neighbor’s property but plunder that of others? In that way Upanishad is better in saying that “Do not snatch anyone’s property”.

It’s say love ur neighbor..(meaning love others or everyone)!! and it also, says to dont judge or try to govern your neighbors (meaning everyone) life. And I personally do believe theirs a god otherwise we would’nt be here. I respect all religions and everyones opinion about what they believe. the bible is very complicated so, you need to understand it right because, it can get misintrepete. And that’s why theres so many religion everyone understands it there own why. Which in my eyes is not something bad as long as ur not harming anyone.
