False Prophets: Christianity
Take this as an immediate supplementary part to my previous post “Our religion is a joke“. Inspiration to this 4 Part Article comes from a Gujarati idiom that say “kagda badhe kala” – literally meaning “ravens are black everywhere”.
People of different religion be it Hinduism, Christianity, Islam, Buddhism need certain Priest, Pastor, Imam or Monk / Lama to support their beliefs. People put their full faith in them and also believe in what they are preaching. Many rational Indians feel that Hindu Priest are minting monies and their excessive wealth should be put to some check. I too believe in same notion, but I feel that this racket is broader than what we feel – it actually runs in to all Religions, and here are some examples:
Lets start in Descending order, depending on the subscribers of a particular Religion.
Christianity
Strength: With 2.1 Billion followers, Christianity comes on top. It is a state religion in many countries and followers of Christianity can vary like any other religion from Fundamentalists to Liberals.
Weakness: More liberals than many religions, followers are not united. The base of religion is The Bible, which is widely confusing, contradictory and full of inconsistency. Women priests are not acceptable by the Vatican, Gay are barred, and has Creationist approach.
Opportunity: Good creditworthiness, and impression largely due to British and Other European Colonial Rule throughout the world. Jesus is often seen by many as a peaceful prophet.
Threat: Over 60% of the population is ageing. Broken marriages resulting in to lesser child-birth over last decade. The new generation do not go to the Church and are largely Liberal. The Church had to accept that Evolution theory and is largely debating on Same-Sex Marriages, which they might allow within next 5-10 years. Child Abuse by Priests and Sex Scandals has damaged its reputation.
Pastor, the magician.
Christian faith used to have the least number of fundamentalist preachers / priests from 1980s to 1990s which they identify as Pastors. With technology driving forward, these Pastors came up with a new way to renew faith of people at large. This new way was MAGIC or Hypothesis.
Pastors like Benny Hinn and Joyce Meyer have grown from simple pastors to televangelists – minting money from suffering believers and non-believers. I have put a video of what Benny Hinn does in different countries.
As far as Benny Hinn is concerned, he has taste for luxury. His ministry makes on average $200 million a year, of which Benny Hinn as a Pastor (or Priest) takes a salary of over $1 million a year in different ways and kinds. His son-in-law (to be) was awarded $2400 as petty cash fees to watch Benny Hinn’s son for few hours while his family was out. Benny Hinn who himself claims to solve relationship problems is currently going through a divorce. In 2006, his ministry asked people for donation of $36 million to fund his private jet – which often flies to holiday destinations after his spiritual crusades and it costs the ministry (in fact the donors) over $600,000 a year to maintain this private jet.
Many television journalists and newspapers have published documentaries on how his ministry does not provide a transparent account of every penny that comes in. He lives in $10 million house in the US and the Ministry Watch in 2005, claimed and issued a DONOR ALERT that
the reported exorbitant spending of the Hinn family reveals that BHM has far more money than it needs to carry out its ministry
and asked Christians to withhold their donation to his ministry.
But this is not by far an isolated incidence. Joyce Meyer who is in similar trade, has been investigated by the US Senate many times. Her commode cost her donors $23,000. She took yearly salary of $900,000 on top of her Husband’s allowance of $450,000 a year. Her headquarters is worth over $20 million with over $5.7 million worth of furniture.
Ms Meyer flies in a $10 million Jet, which costs the ministry and her husband drives a $107,000 Mercedes Sedan. Her children lives in another $2 million worth of properties.
This again is not an isolated case, Pastors from across the world are affiliated to many organisations like these and mints money from Poor, Hungry, Fundamentalists, Traditionalists and Suffers.
On a small note, Vatican Bank controlled by the Pope, has the largest assets in the world, which also invests in Futures, and other trades. Over $100 Billion worth of Liquid Assets – Vatican Bank has been tainted many times of Money Laundering by different world governments.
So, do you feel that Gujarati idiom is true here?

Interesting. I dont think that these people deserve what they claim from their donors or missions. I dont know why people are so much excited with Religious Leaders. Is it greed of Heavens? or they feel to have Inner Peace? or they feel Gob-smacked? What?

for Neither by might, Neirther by power but only by the Mightiest Holy Spirit of Jesus Christ such a miracle is performed………….. so Jesus Christ is the Lord of the Universe………..

I think you mean “ungodly one” and not “ungoldy one”. No I do not know who that is. Can you please highlight? The blog post and my comment were both on a different subject. I think these people are ripping poor and hungry off.
And like ABC News anchor says that there is no existing proof that ANYONE has ever been healed. They should come up with PROOFs, which they do not – I wonder why?

How can it be possible when one is ripping from the pocket of hungry and poor, and still millions are running towards The Great Great and Greatest of Great Benny Hinn and The Great Great and Greatest of Great Lady Joyece Meyer and to this blog not a tens of people !!!
Please call people to flood this blog or your seminar on how to stop these rippers……….you can do at least that.

The not-so-Great Benny Hinn started his ministry with only 5 people – and had no more than 50 visitors for first 2 years. I have more than him in 15 days that I have been writing the blog.
Secondly, people are suffering, so they will clinch on to whatever Bull Sh*t that Benny Hinn/ Joyce Meyer sells. Like Catholic Church always believed that Sun revolved around Earth does not make it right, in the same way more people believe does not make it right. Truth will always be truth – and the truth is that there is not a single person who have provided medical evidence that they have been healed.
If your faith is dependent on number of people subscribing to it, then there are many Hindu and Muslim preachers who get on average more audience then Benny Hinn or Joyce Meyer.
Isn’t it due to a population ratio…….
Neverthless, thousands of Millions came and faded up in darkness, whom you are preaching……..
Jesus rulled, reigns, and will reign for ever … ever… ever.. ever and e….e…v…e..rr……………keep shouting…..it want affect godly miracles……………
Take New York for example. 8.6 million population and more come on Deepak Chopra’s show then on to Benny Hinn.. Is that because of any population ratio?
For your comment saying Scientists and Medical Professionals couldnt destroy flies, viruses, etc – neither Bible nor the Church was able to do that. More Christians died out of Plague in 20th Century and the Church couldnt help. Open your eyes.
And yes about your comments on Hindus enjoying life in Christian Countries: there is no state religion of the USA and UK is going to take out Christianity as State Religion soon. In any case, these countries were invaded by Christian population – there were never natively Christian.
Yes though India was Hindu only country and still Majority is Hindus, and someone else is in New Delhi enjoying Hindu hospitality even after being Christian?
I cant believe how these people take money in name of Christ and make themselves rich.
I thought Christian Priests were better, they are all same or even worse.

We Christians kill more humans and animals on planet then any other religion. I think Christ is out of Christians.
I think the world has to see that these people are not doing any good to them they are only cons wrapped up in white clothes.
